Electric Forest Festival Lineup Reveal
Electric Forest is an immersive music, art and community festival held each summer at the Double JJ Ranch in Rothbury, Michigan. For its 2026 lineup reveal, I created an animated video that translates the festival's otherworldly forest atmosphere into a playful visual journey.
Building the world
I built an enchanted forest infused with juggling-inspired forms, creatures and playful objects. The visual language balances an indie, handmade sensibility with the surreal magic and sense of discovery that define the festival.
A journey through the forest
Each scene explores the same world from a different angle. Creatures, spheres and environmental details guide the eye from one scene to the next, building a continuous journey that culminates in a final frame celebrating the festival.
Mixed media process
The video combines Photoshop, After Effects, Cinema 4D and AI tools to build and animate the world. The original music was composed specifically for the video, shaping its rhythm and carrying the viewer through each reveal.
