Surviving Death Title Sequence
An alternative title sequence for Netflix documentary series Surviving Death. The series explores near-death experiences, reincarnation and the possibility that consciousness continues after physical death. The concept treats life and death not as opposites, but as states that exist side by side.
Life and death, side by side
Rather than visualizing death itself, I focused on the relationship between life and death. Familiar objects shift into unexpected forms, landscapes and memories, suggesting that one state can exist within another and carrying the viewer through a continuous journey.

Finding a personal visual language
I began with realistic AI imagery, but it felt too detached from my visual language. Instead of using it as a final result, I treated AI as a creative tool and combined its outputs with elements I drew, cut and refined in Photoshop, creating a unique and cohesive visual language.

From motion tests to final animation
AI motion tests (Seedance 2.0) helped explore camera movement, transitions and rhythm. I then animated most of the final sequence manually in After Effects, using the tests only as a reference while preserving the handcrafted character of the artwork.
